12th Battalion was created to develop new modes of staging and storytelling, creating serious works for the stage aspire to the status of art rather than just entertainment while providing audiences with visual and sonic experiences they have never before known.

While its concern is and will always be bringing writers’ and directors’ visions to life, it has historically placed particular emphasis on new modes of performance (which have previously included holograms, robots and 360* sound among other techniques).
